Chyron HyperX HD signs on for Wheel, Jeopardy

Sony Pictures Entertainment has installed two Sony HyperX HD graphics systems with Lyric PRO advanced creation and playout software, to support production and post production on popular US game shows,

The systems were installed as part of the programs’ switch to full HD production, post production and distribution. The high performance HyperX systems with Lyric PRO software provide Sony Pictures Entertainment with a high-speed graphics engine, enabling creation of spectacular, multi-layer effects and transitions for logos, lower thirds and real-time 2D/3D animation with 3D object import.

Wheel of Fortune first aired in the US in 1975 and Jeopardy! began transmission in 1964. The shows, which still have a legion of fans across the country, were created by American talk show host, Merv Griffin.
