The Sports Network Teams with Voxant, to Deliver Sports News to Web Sites
Network has partnered with Voxant, to make its comprehensive sports information
and reporting available to Web sites and blogs through TheNewsRoom (http://www.thenewsroom.com/voxant/thesportsnetwork),
both companies announced. The Sports Network also distributes sports video from
TheNewsRoom on its own site, http://www.sportsnetwork.com.
The Sports Network provides the latest
sports scores, statistics, news, injury and weather reports, standings,
schedules and team information for a wide range of sports and events.
Currently, TheNewsRoom features articles and feeds from The Sports Network that
cover news and analysis, game previews and recaps, as well as events.
Additional content available this summer will include box scores, full game
summaries and audio reports.

custom news feeds that appear in a branded player, as well as from video feeds
on The Sports Network’s own site. Voxant’s proprietary viral mashing technology
allows copyright-protected news to be obtained from TheNewsRoom and legally
embedded on Web sites and blogs, where it can then be redistributed to an
infinite number of additional sites in a true viral distribution model. A
tracking system and dashboard also record where the content has traveled on the
Web and how often it is viewed, in addition to providing the ability to block
content from appearing on inappropriate sites. All content is accompanied by advertising,
which provides revenue to content owners and sites where content is published.
