Tandberg Next-Generation Encoder To Bow at NAB
Tandberg Television will launch its EN8100 MPEG-2 next-generation standard-definition encoder at NAB.
The EN8100 is based on Tandberg-developed technologies and encoding algorithms, and it was designed from the ground-up to deliver encoding performance in a high density, low power (6 channels in 1 RU) chassis.
It cuts MPEG-2 SD bandwidth requirements by at least 15%, even in legacy set-top-box operations.
The EN8100 will ship in June.
