NAB 2012: Artel Video Systems To Show DLC156 Multiplexer

Artel Video Systems will feature the company’s new DLC156 module, a six-channel time division multiplexer (TDM) for transporting uncompressed and compressed video over dark fiber. In addition, Artel will roll out its DL4300 12-Slot Chassis and DLC410 Video-Over-IP Gateway.

Featuring format flexibility, easy configuration, and a competitive price, the DLC156 is a solution for backhaul and contribution in fiber-constrained, multiservice video transport applications. The space-efficient and cost-effective module for use in Artel’s DigiLink 4000 platform enables the transport of up to six HD-SDI or three 3G-SDI digital video services over a single optical wavelength, saving fiber costs and simplifying network design and deployment.

Users can mix and match SD-SDI, ASI, HD-SDI, or 3G-SDI services into a single 10Gb/s optical transport stream. The DLC156 supports links in excess of 80 km using industry-standard, hot-swappable 10G XFP transceivers in WDM and DWDM wavelengths.

DL4300 12-Slot Chassis
Designed for compatibility with all DigiLink Video Platform modules, this 3RU chassis is ideal for central office or head end applications where multiple circuits are aggregated and a larger chassis simplifies installation requirements, saving time and money.    On board DL-Manager provides a full featured SNMP and HTTP Element Management System.

DLC410 — Video-Over-IP Gateway
Based on SMPTE 2022 standards for encapsulation and Forward Error Correction (FEC), the DLC410 enables SDI and ASI to be reliably transported across managed IP networks.  Two independent video channels in each direction can be transported over a single Gig-E connection.  The module is low cost and interoperates with other standards-based video-over-IP products.
