Utah Scientific Receives Broadcast Engineering World Pick Hit Award

Utah Scientific has won a Broadcast Engineering World Pick Hit Award, a long-running and prestigious technical award in the industry. The UTAH-100/UDS Universal Distribution System, one of the many pieces of innovative technology demonstrated at IBC 2012, received the award.

The awards are judged by readers of Broadcast Engineering magazine’s World edition, all of whom are working professionals in the broadcast, postproduction, and content delivery industries. The winners are affordable products that offer a substantial improvement over existing technology and have a positive impact on the intended user’s everyday work.

“To be chosen by this group of users speaks volumes about the product’s potential for revolutionizing signal distribution,” says Tom Harmon, president and CEO of Utah Scientific. “Many users have already realized the value of the UTAH-100/UDS in the form of greatly improved efficiency in configuration and workflow, which in turn saves time and money.”

This is the second time that Utah Scientific has received a Pick Hit Award from Broadcast Engineering for this product. The first was awarded for the U.S. market at the 2012 NAB Show. The UTAH-100/UDS was also the TV Technology STAR at the last NAB Show.
