iStreamPlanet to Live Stream USA Pro Challenge Cycling Event

iStreamPlanet announced that the company will provide live video streaming of the USA Pro Challenge. The popular cycling event takes place over seven days in Colorado starting August 19, and offers some of the best professional cycling seen in the U.S. Viewers will be able to tune in to the live streaming broadcast on iOS, Android, and Web-connected devices.

“Studies show that consumers watch live content on connected devices up to ten times longer than on demand content,” said Robin Cole, vice president of Marketing for iStreamPlanet. “By providing a live video workflow solution capable of delivering an exceptional viewer experience, we’re able to meet the growing viewer demand for multiscreen access to live sporting events like the USA Pro Challenge.”

Helping viewers get closer to the action, iStreamPlanet’s live video solution for the event includes RTMP ingest, media processing to output adaptive bitrate HLS and HDS streams up to 1080p, as well as publishing.

iStreamPlanet will be teaming up with 39T Digital, which is providing production services, as well as TourTracker, which is enabling the viewing experience via the TourTracker apps.

“iStreamPlanet’s deep expertise in live video streaming, and specifically in streaming multi-day, multi-location events like the Tour de France, make them the obvious live video partner for the USA Pro Challenge,” said Shawn Hunter, CEO of the USA Pro Challenge.  “We’re confident that the combination of the exciting, live race coverage and iStreamPlanet’s live streaming services will deliver an amazing viewing experience for our global, multiscreen audience.”
