Buffalo Bills Choose VITEC’s IPTV Video Streaming System For Ralph Wilson Stadium
The Buffalo Bills have chosen VITEC for high-definition digital television delivery to over 920 displays throughout Ralph Wilson Stadium, which has been undergoing a massive $130 million renovation to improve the fan experience.
VITEC provided an end-to-end IPTV video system that displays pristine High Definition H.264 video, with ultra-low latency, live to Monitors throughout the stadium. The solution is comprised of VITEC’s modular encoding and streaming platforms; the MGW1100, a True Carrier grade encoding system that has a single central management and streaming interface with Set-Top boxes, that support low latency video and control, installed on over 920 Televisions including large video wall displays throughout Ralph Wilson Stadium. Additionally, the award winning EZ TV Digital video stream management and viewing platform was integrated with the system. VITEC’s EZ TV solution has modules to control the set-top box and television end points allowing for central channel management, volume, power controls and more.
Over the past 18 months VITEC solutions have proven themselves in multiple stadium installations throughout the world and VITEC is quickly becoming a ‘Go To’ company for HD video streaming and management in new stadium developments and renovations.
“Sports and Entertainment stadiums around the world have been coming to us for technology refreshes in providing enhanced experiences for their fans,” stated Michael Chorpash, Vice President of Sales at VITEC. “From football stadiums to Race Tracks, streaming video across these venues provides fans with much better video quality and viewing options than legacy systems. IT departments and owners see advantages for fans to attend and view promotions through Point of Information (POI) and Point of Sales (POS) displays, while IT can manage and control all of the displays through a central interface.”
