Todd Hinders Joins Elemental Technologies as VP of Sales for the Americas

Elemental Technologies announced that Todd Hinders has joined the company as vice president of sales for the Americas. Based in the Bay Area, Hinders leads sales efforts in the Americas where Elemental has a rapidly growing customer base, including major pay TV operators such as Comcast, DirecTV, and Globosat, as well as content owners such as HBO and Turner.

A veteran of the video software and encoding industries, Hinders will focus on the expansion of Elemental software-defined video (SDV) solutions in the Americas market as pay TV operators and content owners abandon rigid, hardware-based video processing solutions for the flexibility of SDV approaches. Hinders will lead North and South American sales teams charged with helping media enterprises leverage Elemental’s complete suite of solutions to support the whole of the IP video delivery chain. This includes the company’s unified video infrastructure solutions, which collapse statistical multiplexing functions for live linear operations into a single software-based architecture.

Formerly the senior director of video software and encoding product sales of the worldwide media and service provider market segment for Cisco, Hinders has more than 20 years of experience at the forefront of content distribution and monetization technologies. He brings deep knowledge of business development and expansion, software solutions and digital-media licensing deals to his role at Elemental. Previously, Hinders held sales positions with Loudeye (encoding.com), Maven Networks and ExtendMedia.
