- FiberLink Battery Powered 3G-SDI Beamer
Providing a fail-safe, glitch-free backup fiber optic transmission system, the SDI Beamer is the perfect solution for broadcasting in the field, OB vans, or stadiums.
Canon U.S.A., a leader in digital imaging solutions, will exhibit several products of special interest to producers of sports programming. These products include:
- The XF205 Professional HD Camcorder, featuring: a built-in wide-angle 20x Canon optical zoom lens for a 26.8–576 mm (35mm equivalent) zoom range; Canon Five-Axis Dynamic SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization; three memory card slots; and support of both the MXF and MP4 recording formats. It also features both an Ethernet LAN terminal and dual-band WiFi for browser preview during shoots and FTP transfers.
- Portable HD zoom lenses; designed for ENG/EFP cameras with 2/3-inch imagers. A newly designed hand grip/Digital Drive Unit provides greater operator comfort, improved operability, and precision integration with virtual studios.
- The Canon Cinema EOS line of cameras and lenses; Cinema EOS cameras are available in EF lens-mount versions, enabling them to be used with the more than 70 EF-Series lenses. The Canon EOS C500 4K camera (outfitted with Canon 4K zoom lenses) has been systemized for major sports coverage because it can capture highly detailed wide-angle 4K shots that can be digitally zoomed into and integrated into HDTV sports telecasts.
Beyond these highlighted products, Canon will also showcase its full line of professional, high-definition imaging equipment for television production, video content creation, and still photography.
At this year’s Summit, Clear-Com will showcase the LQ Series of connectivity solutions and the FreeSpeak II wireless intercom system.
The LQ Series provides intercom connectivity for linking intercom systems across long distances over IP networks. LQ IP interfaces are ideal for cost-effectively extending existing intercom systems to single or multiple remote locations over their IT infrastructures, eliminating lengthy audio cable runs. LQ can also interface between different intercom systems routing both call signaling and audio over LAN, WAN or Internet IP connections: 2-wire partyline with other OEM partyline systems, 2-wire with 4-wire devices, and 4-wire with 4-wire systems. The LQ-2W2 is both Clear-Com and RTS TW compatible.
FreeSpeak II 1.9GHz is an exceptional wireless intercom system for large scale productions. It includes a wireless five channel digital beltpack and active antenna, which deliver more expansive cellular wireless coverage as well as more reliable connections. FreeSpeak II operates in the DECT 1.897-1.933GHz bands. The beltpacks have an ergonomic form factor, intuitive operation and a rugged housing that is IP-65 rated for water and dust resistance.

Ross Video will be showcasing an integrated Sport Venue & Collegiate Sports Broadcast solution.
On the venue front, the new Carbonite Black production switcher will be shown integrated with the powerful, data-friendly XPression graphics platform. DashBoard software control panels allow for customized user interfaces and workflows specific to each operation. A first at SVG, the new Inception Live system, showcasing a planning, scheduling and live management tool for game day and live event productions. Inception Live facilitates communications while providing the curation of social media elements from a unified dashboard. Inception Live offers a browser-based environment in order to produce a game day line-up, and a tablet-based interface that reflects changes made to scripts on the fly.
Ross will also be showing its most affordable Collegiate Sports Broadcast package in a user-friendly flight pack. Similar to what has been adopted for Conference Networks and school produced games for Digital Tier sports networks – this system is anchored by a Carbonite 1ME switcher and XPression Go! laptop system. It is capable of running broadcast network insert graphics, clips and scorebug off of a single channel of XPression and a single keyer Carbonite through layer management – while harvesting StatCrew, Clock, and Scoring data.
Tightrope Media Systems
Tightrope Media Systems will be featuring the latest release of the ZEPLAY slow motion instant replay server as well as their Carousel digital signage platform, which has recently been integrated with Brightsign players to provide an extremely capable, and affordable digital signage solution for large-scale displays at stadiums and arenas.
The ZEPLAY Instant Replay server is the choice of many NBA, NHL, and college teams because it offers industry-leading performance, rock-solid reliability, and pristine video quality at a fraction of the cost of the competition.
